Focused Management Inc.
(FMI) is one of the pioneers in activity based costing and performance
measurement training, facilitation and consulting. Staffed by a group
of specialists, its primary interests lie in helping clients develop
cost management and performance measurement solutions, in order to drive
productivity. Focused Management was founded in 1988, at a time when
ABC was in its infancy. Working with the leading academics, Focused
Management developed practical implementation approaches that have
consequently been applied in hundreds of organizations.
We are not an accounting
firm, nor a general consulting firm. All our associates have
successfully implemented ABC and performance measurement systems in
their previous employers before joining Focused Management. This
diverse experience has enabled us to evolve a proven, cost effective
implementation process.
Our approach and manner of interaction with our clients can be best
characterized as one of a “partnering” relationship during the project
and a commitment to transfer ongoing capabilities to your client team.
The role of focused management information inc. Is to provide training,
facilitated analysis, technical and architectural advice to the client
in the application and use of ABM to accomplish project objectives. In
general, it is our intent to provide your personnel with the
capabilities to maintain ABC analysis within the client organization on
an ongoing basis. We do not arrive at an engagement with a myriad of
consultants with different experience levels. We arrive with seasoned
ABC professionals all committed to providing value to the client. Our
approach generally demands between 1-3 associates per client engagement.
